Technology Collaboration|Syamcat Welcomes Russian Partner to Discuss CCR Catalyst Carrier
Syamcat Hosts Russian Partner for Discussions on Bulk Purchase and Improvements of CCR Catalyst Carrier
In mid-July 2024, Syamcat welcomed a distinguished Russian partner with over 60 years of experience in catalyst production, technology process authorization, design, and engineering. The visit aimed to discuss the mass purchase of CCR catalyst carriers following successful lab and pilot plant tests.
A central topic was the discussion of Syamcat's CCR catalyst carrier, which has seen significant improvements over the past 18 months. These advancements have notably increased the catalyst carrier’s performance by enhancing its specific surface area, bulk density, and crushing strength. Notably, the specific surface area can exceed 190m²/g. Our analytical tests have confirmed these gains, leading to superior production efficiency and extended operational life within CCR units. The Russian partner, leveraging their extensive expertise in catalyst technology, acknowledged and appreciated these substantial enhancements.
Key Agenda Included Enhancements in CCR Catalyst Carrier Performance
In addition to the CCR catalyst carrier project, discussions also covered high-temperature shift catalysts and steam reforming catalysts for hydrogen production units in various Russian refineries, leveraging the partner’s relationships.
Future Collaboration to Encompass Syngas and Technology Process Engineering Projects
Looking forward, Syamcat and the Russian partner plan to collaborate not only in the field of syngas but also on various technology processes and engineering projects.
